From the register to the Kingdom

Every document follows the same route, so nothing is turned back at the counter.

  1. Registry record

Companies House or the state registry issues the official document.

  2. Certified copy

A solicitor or notary certifies the copy where the authority requires it.

  3. Apostille

The UK FCDO or the US Secretary of State attaches the apostille.

  4. Used in Saudi Arabia

Since the Kingdom joined the Apostille Convention in 2022, no embassy legalisation is needed.

Questions about this service

Ask about this service
Does Saudi Arabia accept apostilles?

Yes. Saudi Arabia joined the Hague Apostille Convention, which took effect in the Kingdom in December 2022, so an apostille replaces the old embassy legalisation.

Who issues the apostille?

For UK documents, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. For US state documents, the Secretary of State of the state that issued them; federal documents such as IRS letters are apostilled by the US Department of State.

Do I need to send you my originals?

No. We obtain official copies from the registry or have copies certified, so your originals stay with you.

Can the documents be translated into Arabic?

Yes. Ask us and we will add a certified Arabic translation to the set.
